Passed out and sleepy about describes me right now.

Is it seriously only Tuesday???!!!???

Mother Nature here in Texas is in need of some SERIOUS hormone pills. It was 80+ degrees last Monday. Tuesday night it was in the 30's. This weekend it was back in the upper 70's.

There was a full moon.

I had my formal observation.

I have talked about the proper way to wear our clothing a gazillion times.

I have goats....and a beaver.

I am VERY scared to talk about how sweet my class is....I am terrified of getting a new child who will send my class to the Land of Bonkers and Beyond!!!!

This post will be short and sweet. =)

Here are some of the favorite poems my kiddos like this time of year. These are the ones they will still be singing and reading until May.

Click here to grab your copy.

I hope to be back very, very soon with my Grovvy Christmas Fun. =)

I would love for you to take a minute and leave me some love in a heart note. =)

From My Heart to Yours,

Heather,

Thanks so much! We are working on visualizing this week. I'm going to "pretend" this was in the lesson plan.

The weather has been crazy... 82 on Monday, and the air conditioners have been turned off by central office. It was better yesterday. I can really relate to your comment about getting a new student, because it happened to me...awful, awful, awful behavior.

Have a great day,
Karen

The weather down south is terrible too! Doesn't feel like Christmas at all. I got a new student last week. Luckily she is sweet as pie and did not rock the boat. Love the Polar Express poem. I will definitely use this in the weeks to come!

Mother Nature is in a funk here, too!! I am ready for it to feel like December!

Our class is currently obsessed with Deanna Jump's "Mr. grinch" song :) my friend Amy and I added two stanza to it to make it longer for our 2nd graders :)

Your poetry things are so cute! And perfect timing!! We just started our poetry unit and I've been having such a hard time finding fun and cute poetry things... other than Shel Silverstein. Thanks for such a great freebie!

Thank you, Heather!

By the way, I have a copy of your Heartprints poem on our calendar board. Each day, when we line up to go home, I thank the children for the heartprints I received; they always talk about heartprints they received, too! I think of you every day! :-)

Okay I feel better knowing I'm not the only one with kiddos going bonkers occasionally! I just had a student check out so I'm hoping I don't get a new one any time soon but we'll see. Your poems are precious! Hang in there girl!
